Thanks, Gary, I spent some time on this blog -- considering others who may read it, and trying to be sensitive as well.

Yes, Gary, WordPress gets a little involved and slightly complex. I keep it simple. I'd enjoy doing more. But there is a learning curve. I still get readers to Google Blogs I've left up too.

WordPress is more powerful than Blogger (Google), but I'm still stuck with the Big G. One thing I've noticed -- and notice here that you *haven't* fallen prey to -- is that too many people get far to complicated in the construction of their sites. I really like simplicity. And I really like dark pages and light-colored fonts.

And you, Mona, your wonderful books "Behind These Mountains," about the history of Montana, told by the pioneers and homesteaders. The many hours you spent collecting all those stories. At 16, I wanted to write. You wrote for the town newspaper. You helped me submit an article to the newspaper. And it was your home, we walked to for help, where Bull River and the Clark Fork River met, when my Mom parked our van on the boat ramp, thinking the emergency brake was enough to hold while we went for a little swim -- and the car ended up at the bottom of the river. Later when it was pulled out, towns folk came with folding chairs to watch. (; OMG. I'm pleased and happy you're revising and editing "Behind These Mountains" about Montana and posting chapters online at http://www.behindthesemountains.com/ where others can read the history from the first mocassin-clad footsteps of the Indians, to the founding of townships, railroads and beyond. Thank you!

Kathy, you bring back such fond, fond memories of the time you lived in Montana, and your parents were our friends, so you were in our lives, and remain an integral part of the weft and weave of it.

I agree, home, especially childhood home, never leaves our hearts. It took me many years to understand why Art always attended funerals at Heron, MT, even when it seemed the deceased was "only someone we knew" -- until I realized that each one of those departed were a piece of his childhood -- and the death took away an irreplaceable piece of his life when we said those last farewells.

Keep writing!!
